After 10 years, Alejandro Sanz releases 'No es lo mismo'.
No es lo mismo is his sixth studio album and first release since Alma al aire.
This album was recorded in Madrid and Miamai between February and July 2003. On this ocasion, Alejandro Sanz recorded with top American musicians like Anthony Jackson, Michael Landau and Vinni Colaiuta in addition to Cuban musicians like Horacio 'El Negro' and with a special intervention by Paco de Lucía in one of the tracks. For the first time, Sanz produced one of his albums along with the Cuban producer Lulo Pérez,
Alejandro Sanz places his bet on new different sounds with more blends of music and culture, bringing together new flamenco, hip hop and Cuban sounds. The single 'No es lo mismo' is surprising not only in the musical aspect but with its urban lyrics. In 'No es lo mismo' Alejandro Sanz brings the individual as a concept for each person's singular way of seeing things. |
